It was the Sunday prior to our departure from Boise sometime late
October 2012. We visited the Farmers Market. Various produce were on
display like cheese, wine,cookies,fruits,candies,lemonade,jams,syrups,
ice creams,tacos,doughnuts,kettle corn, chocolates,paintings,mugs
& bowls,elk meat etc. It was a bright and sunny day and there
was a fair crowd out there. We sampled quite a few things on offer there
particularly wine & cheese offerings. There was a nice circular
water fountain and the kids were having fun. There were benches for
senior citizens to relax, cycle stands to park cycles and water
dispensers to quench your thirst. There were musicians to entertain the crowd. A homeless couple had also parked
themselves there squatting on the floor with a placard stating "We are
homeless. Please contribute what you can". The couple were in their
thirties, were probably African Americans, and in apparently sound
health. Overall a delightful morning well spent !
