OUR LITTLE PUMPKIN PATCH

I am posting some pictures of our little pumpkin patch. We sowed some seeds around 3 months back and now the plants have grown prodigiously. We see beautiful yellow flowers every morning. But alas we are yet to see any pumpkins. I understand that there are male and female flowers and only when cross pollination takes place pumpkins will appear. We are anxiously awaiting appearance of little pumpkins :)

  2. Your little batch looks great.
They say the male pumpkin flowers can be eaten in salads or cooked as they have a nice taste.
The female flower is the one that will grow into a pumpkin, so be patient with it.
