My profuse apologies for being away from blogging for the past few
weeks. My daughter Bhavana & grand daughter Mira were in India for
two weeks and I was so fully involved with them ( particularly with Mira
! ) that I had neither the time nor the inclination to blog.
I am enclosing pictures
clicked at Fred Meyer Supermarket, during my visit to Boise in October 2012. It is an amazing place which
is very well stocked with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables & food stuff, has large wide aisles for maneuvering
carts/trolleys and automatic self weighing/billing & payment
facility with a single supervisor overseeing half a dozen such self
counters. Incidentally this happens to be my 300th post.
happy 300th! and i really like the new profile photo of you!
ReplyDeleteglad you got to spend time with your daughter and granddaughter.
and we take so much for granted in the US - like all this selection and fresh produce available...
Thanks TWG !
DeleteThis type of supermarket is very common in Hawaii, but prices of goods vary significantly from store to store. Hubby likes to comparison shop, but I don't have the patience for it.
ReplyDeleteToo bad your granddaughter did not witness Diwali. She would have been awed by the lights.
In fact Mira did come for Diwali in the year 2011. And she had a fabulous time with the myriad lights and dazzling fire works.
Deletecongrats for 300th post....each of them were excellent...
ReplyDeletelooking OLD in NEW profile pic :-)
great clicks as ever..
regards
anu

ReplyDeleteWe have a Fred Meyer's here in Corvallis; it's a department/grocery store unique to the Northwest. We just bought a tv set there. Pretty fun.
I'm glad that you had a wonderful visit with your grand daughter. Does she speak some Hindustani? (Gosh, I might have asked about the wrong language.)
Kerry: Mira speaks only English !
