I visited Chidambaram Temple in December 2012.While circumambulating the outer prakaram I came across a group of young priests who were into deep discussions among themselves. On my request they enthusiastically agreed to pose for a photograph.The picture is posted below:

ReplyDeletePerhaps the older priest was a teacher. It is interesting to see a rare photo of young priests. Usually I think of all priests as older for some reason.

ReplyDeleteMY visits about a dozen of them to Chidambaram was during the time when atheism was blinding me and all that was tradition was anathema. And that foolishly , I must say really foolishly dissuaded me from visiting that magnificent temple.

Looks like I overlooked the aged priest. Yes he must have been their teacher, guide & mentor !
