This is the best time to visit Munnar.After copious rains during monsoon the entire region is filled with dense vegetation and there is lush greenery all around.In particular there is a proliferation of rare beautiful wild and exotic flowers some of which are pictures below.And of course a pleasant suffusion of sunlight and profusion of mist and low clouds adding to the mystique of Munnar..

DeleteIt interests me that South India actually has flora very similar to the Philippines; that's what I've observed when i was there and this post confirms that. Really lovely colorful flowers in "God's Country". :)

There was a time when I went to Munnar every three months when I was working but some how I missed the beauty you have so wonderfully captured. There was a small rivulet near Kannan Devan head office with sparkling water. There were also a church, temple and a mosque adjacent to each other on top of a hill. Best wishes
