Brookefields the the first and the biggest mall in Coimbatore. On the fourth floor there are 6 movie halls - you can have a choice of Bollywood, Mollywood or Hollywood movies.During, before or after the movie you can walk into any of these cafes/bars for your favorite coffee, ice cream or fruit juice. A visit to Coimbatore is incomplete without a visit to Brookefields.

ReplyDeleteIn response to you question on my Titanic post, that is indeed a 1912 film that was done shortly after the sinking of the Titanic, and all the people seen in it are people that were on that ship and managed to get into lifeboats. Captain Rostron was the captain of the Carpathia, the ship that came to the Titanic's rescue...unfortunately several hours after the Titanic sank. However, this captain took the survivors of the disaster onto his ship and ensured there were plenty of warm blankets, etc. :)
Thanks Linda for taking your time and explaining in such great detail. Have a nice weekend.
DeleteI'm wondering if your Brookfields is the same as ours? And I don't know from Bollywood (Indian movies?) or Mollywood? I would have fun in that mall, though! Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteBollywood refers to movies produced in Bombay ( or Mumbai) and Mollywood refers to movies produced in Madras (or Chennai as it is called now). And this Brookefield is a 100% Indian Enterprise. Have a nice week end.
DeleteI haven't head of Mollywood but am familiar with Bollywood....That is a really beautiful mall, It is nice to have them especially here when the weather gets to hot or as it is now, too cold and snowy. Thank you for the kind comments on my blog....Michelle
